1 Project Name : Global Koreaness Fostering Project
2 Project Purpose and Necessity
ㅇ The purpose of this project is to help people recognize that Koreaness is not limited to the ethnic community and that Koreaness is the sense of community to have as a global citizen. It also aims to spread that the true value of the Koreaness is its future-oriented value for development of community.
ㅇ This project helps the overseas Koreans recognize that the most Korean-style matters are the global matters. The project includes traditional Korean culture experience and cultural lectures to help them learn the true values of Koreaness.
ㅇ As the global status of Korea is increasing, this project aims to spread the values of awakening Koreaness to overseas Koreans who had no choice but to settle down in other countries due to tragic Korean history. Especially, it discovers and supports foreign regions in blind spots to spread the value of Koreaness to overseas Koreans.
ㅇ Yibichong Memorial Ceremony started in 2007, and it holds significance for finding the traces of Koreans in the tragic history and remembering their contributions. Yibichong Memorial Ceremony is a valuable event that reminds the values of past historical event and spreads them to the public in order to establish values of Koreaness as the future-oriented values.
3 Project Details
This project offers Korean culture experience program for overseas Koreans who have less access Korean language and Korean culture. The program spread the Korean spirit and culture and foster emotional connectedness as a member of Korean community.
1 Foreign Branch Support Project
The foreign branches promote projects to develop national pride and national identity and recover sense of connectedness as Koreans. There are 26 branches in the United States, Germany, China, France, Japan, and Central Asia.
Lecture for Overseas Koreans
We offer lectures for overseas Koreans to establish the right values toward Korean history and culture and help them understand Koreaness better.
Operation of “Into The World to Find Koreaness” Program
We offer programs for overseas Koreans and their children to develop the right national identity and foster the cultural history and awareness through various traditional cultural experiences.
2 World Korean Contest
We invite overseas Korean leaders to create the spiritual culture of coexistence and peace by transcending the Koreaness to Korean wave.
