Yibichong
Yibichong is an ear mound of Joseon people in Higashiyama Chaya District in Tokyo. The ears and noses of 29,000 Ming Dynasty soldiers and 185,000 Koreans who died during the Japanese Invasions in 1592 and 1597 are buried in this mound. It was called a nose mound in the past but its name changed to ear mound because it sounded too barbaric. The mount has a stone pagoda named ¡°Gorinto,¡± and it is 7.2 meters and 49 meters in height and width.
Yibichong Memorial Ceremony
Yibichong Memorial Ceremony is the symbol of historic sacrifice to be remembered, and it delivers the message of peace by comforting the victims and the deceased who devoted their life to protect the country.
Remembering the perseverance, devotion, and aspiration for freedom of victims who struggled in the history, sharing the gratitude and respect toward them, and sharing the idea and spirit embracing the generations are the way to awaken the Koreaness and contribute to the world peace.
We hold lectures to inherit and develop the spirit of traditional culture as the universal value of the 21st century, contribute to the peace and coexistence of Koreans and mankind, and foster the national identity.
