Union Introduction

Koreaness Awakening Movement Union

Our union has been holding ‘Koreaness Awakening Movement’from the early stage to cope with national external crisis, Iraq War and North Korean nuclear issue, for protection of independence and peace, and to internally revive the national spirit from the confusion of spiritual values.

In response, our union has been holding regular conferences and lectures nation-widely to establish the right identity as Korean.Based on these successful domestic performances, our union also held overseas lectures in Los Angeles, the United States, and won favorable feedback from the overseas Koreans. Nevertheless, the domestic and foreign situation is under crisis. Even though Koreans desperately wish for South-North reunification, the surrounding powers only insist their own interests and plan tricks and conspiracy. If we fail to awaken the Koreaness and protect the national spirit, the unification will be a pie in the sky. There is also a risk of becoming the colony of surrounding powers.

These are the reasons why we claim for awakening the Koreaness and protecting the national spirit. Our union was founded to gather all national power in one place, foster the national power systematically, and hold national movements continuously.

The biggest crisis faced by the Korean society is the loss of national identity caused by moral corruption and loss of social goal. The rise and fall of the nation depend on inheritance and development of the national identity and human value.

Even though we are living in the post-Cold War era, there are still ongoing conflicts over ideology and religion. The humanity will face another crisis unless we end the era of conflict led unilaterally by the world powers

Our Koreans already went through the biggest crisis during the era of conflict, and it is time to turn the crisis into opportunity. Our mission is to lead and open the new era of coexistence and peace This is the ultimate purpose of the Koreaness awakening movement.

It represents the world (earth) that we live in. The green nature symbolizes the land we live in and values to be sustained.

Samtaegeuk

Taegeuk contains a principle on how the world is created and operated. That’s why Koreans have been making wearing accessories with magatama that resemble Taegeuk since the prehistoric age. Especially, while other countries use Ssangtaegeuk which means the principle of yin and yang, Koreans often have been using Samtaegeuk pattern, with the belief that sky, land, and human consist the principle of the world. So, Taegeuk pattern represents the Koreaness

Tricolored Taegeuk

The blue, red, and white colors are also used in the Korean national flag. These colors show that the circulation of yin and yang (sky-land) change the world with the Koreaness of Koreans, who are also called the people of white clothes.
